a lesson in letting go

ever hear of elevation church?

it’s a mega church in the bible-belt, and if that turns you off immediately for whatever reason, keep reading anyway.

i listen to their sermon clips sometimes on youtube because the pastor is a very forthright and dynamic speaker, which is a style of communication that works well with my brain. and heart.

it was easier for God to get pharaoh to let israel go than for israel to let pharaoh go

but on a particular night at the end of april, i noticed that they were live broadcasting a full service, and instead of ignoring it, i tuned in.

it was called “a lesson in letting go” and in the short term it was meant to apply to life after the pandemic, but in the long term it could apply to many life disturbances.

though i don’t often struggle with the issue of letting go anymore, once i started listening i didn’t really want to turn it off. i’m glad i didn’t

the entire thing is posted below and i get it, you’re busy. the fact that you’ve read this far is already a huge deal and i appreciate it. but if you click on it, as i did, i don’t think you’ll regret it
